He Knows Your Cry

He knows the cry of His children that makes Him stop what He’s doing to go and see about them.

While preparing to end my day, I heard my youngest cry out to me from upstairs. I continued doing what I was doing for a moment until I realized that, that sound was different. I immediately went upstairs to see about her. As I approached, she looked me in my eyes and began to cry as she said her throat was bothering her. I asked her when she noticed that it was hurting. She indicated earlier in the day. I then asked her why she took so long to tell me. At that moment, I was a bit disgusted in the fact that there were things that I could have begun doing on her behalf sooner than later.

Polished Power Thought

An indignation rose within me because I was letting the enemy know that he can’t mess with this one.

I immediately went to get the thermometer to check her temperature which was normal, so I proceeded to give her some medicine to help coat her throat. After praying for her, I shared with her about the importance of letting me or her father know immediately so that we could help her.

Sound of The Cry

Later that evening while in the shower, the Holy Spirit began to speak to me about the sound that came from my daughter’s mouth, which got my attention. He began to say that He knows the cry of His children. He knows the cry of His children that makes Him stop what He’s doing to go and see about them. It hurts His heart when we don’t take the time to ask, seek, and knock. Then we ignore His open invitation to continue asking, seeking, and knocking (Mathew 7:7-11). As I prayed for my daughter, an indignation rose within me because I was letting the enemy know that he can’t mess with this one. How much more our heavenly Father?

Polished Power Thought

He already knows but wants to hear from you.

We must remain as little children when we have problems or concerns and know that we have a heavenly daddy that will do whatever is necessary to make sure we’re taken care of. We’re not supposed to take care of ourselves. For it’s in Him that we live, move, and have our being. If you’ve been challenged or are in the midst of what seems to be a never-ending circumstance, cry out to your heavenly Father. He already knows but wants to hear from you. More importantly, He knows YOUR cry and how He wants to manifest His goodness to you. What are you waiting for?

Isaiah 30:18 (AMPC)

And therefore, the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!
